My Coaching Philosophy
  • Building Strong Foundations, Lasting Confidence, and a Lifelong Love for Figure Skating
I believe every skater deserves an individualized approach and a solid technical foundation from the very beginning. Whether I'm working with a child taking their first steps on the ice, a competitive athlete preparing for competition, or an adult discovering figure skating for the first time, my goal is always the same—to help each skater develop with confidence while truly enjoying the learning process.
My coaching philosophy has been shaped by years of elite training, international performance experience, and working with skaters of different ages and abilities. Throughout my career, I've learned that lasting progress comes from patience, consistency, and building the right fundamentals—not rushing through the process.
  • Strong Fundamentals Come First
A black raven will appear on your windowsill, a paper scroll attached to his leg. You'll need to figure out how to take it off. Everything you'll need to know will be written there. Don't forget to send your raven back.
  • Every Skater Is Unique
No two skaters learn in exactly the same way.
I adapt every lesson to each student's personality, age, goals, and pace of development. My job is not simply to teach skating—it's to understand how each individual learns best and help them reach their full potential.
  • Every Lesson Should Have Purpose
I believe progress comes from thoughtful, structured training—not simply repeating the same exercises.
Every lesson is designed to challenge the skater, introduce new skills, reinforce proper technique, and keep training engaging and motivating. Learning should always feel meaningful and enjoyable.
  • Confidence Is Just as Important as Technique
Technical skills are only one part of becoming a successful skater.
I strive to create an environment where every student feels supported, encouraged, and confident enough to learn without fear of making mistakes. When skaters believe in themselves, their progress accelerates naturally.
  • Figure Skating Is Both Sport and Art
My experience as both a competitive athlete and an international professional performer has taught me that great skating combines technical excellence with artistry, musicality, and self-expression.
Whether a student's goal is recreational skating, competition, or performing in professional ice shows, I encourage every skater to develop confidence both technically and artistically.
  • My Goal
My goal is not simply to teach skating.
I want to help every student become a confident, technically strong, and well-rounded skater while creating an experience that inspires a lifelong love for the sport.
For me, success isn't measured only by medals or achievements. It's measured by every skater who leaves the ice feeling stronger, more confident, and excited to come back for the next lesson.
I believe that proper technique learned from the very beginning creates confident skaters for life. My goal is to help every student build skills they can rely on throughout their entire skating journey.
